High Tea Buffet @ Marriott Cafe, Singapore Marriott Hotel

Happiness is when you get to eat for two for the price of one.Thank you 'The Entertainer' for offering so many awesome 1-for-1 dining deals! This is our second time having Marriott Cafe's high tea buffet since 2 years back and I must say, it's more or less the same dishes still as items may vary.

Starting off with the seafood section, there were fresh white prawns and mussels together with bentos of sushi assortment for the sushi lover. No idea why the dishes tag named crayfish when there wasn't any.. The seafood were average and nothing impressive though.

A variety of freshly baked breads and cakes.

The salad station gives a wide selection of greens and dressings to choose from!

Sandwiches selections includes Tuna , Ham & Cheese, Norwegian Smoked Salmon and lastly, Curried Egg sandwich. But no, I'm not going to stuff myself with breads for a buffet :D

There were the salmon sashimi & smoked salmon as well but they took awhile to replenish. Pastries station includes cranberry raisins scones, savory puffs and local food, Popiah.

We were there during the Lunar New Year period which explains why the CNY goodies.

The Chinese selection includes dim sum buns and dumplings which completes the high tea.

Asian delights such as chicken rice, satays, oyster omelette, curry chicken, bak ku teh, mee siam, laksa, yong tau fu & prawn mee. For the noodles, you pick your own ingredients that is placed in front and the chef will cooked it for you. It goes the same for porridge as well with various Chinese dishes.

After offering many local mains, we start to find it boring but I'm sure tourist will enjoy it more. For the hot dessert portion, there were Tau Suan, Bread & Butter Pudding with various sauces. Not to forget fruits as well!

Though the dessert portion seems limited, I'm still glad that they've a bit of everything. From ice kachang to Asian desserts such as kueh lapis, malay kuehs and lastly to English sweets.

Being a high tea buffet, desserts should be the highlight of it but I find it disappointing to have such a small spread of sweets. Being this, their cakes runs out fast so eat desserts first! Worthy bites such as brownie and red velvet cake.

The sweets segment seems pleasant and nothing worth remembering. Ending off with ice cream, I like the fact that they've plenty of toppings (about 10) to go along with it!

The food quality for it's high tea buffet tasted average with plenty of Asian delights which I find it too 'familiar'. Personally, if it's not for 'The Entertainer', I don't think I'd pay that amount for this. Some were slightly above average while others fell short of it. Nonetheless, it's definitely worth a visit!
