[CLOSED] Foodology Fresh - The URA Centre

Located in the Chinatown vicinity, Foodology Fresh offers a multisensory dining experience and caters to the burgeoning trend of healthy food and beverage concept. The new offering gives an added variety to the range of taste, and is freshly prepared daily to meet the demands for healthy and satisfying lunches by office employees.

The 800 square feet restaurant opened its doors earlier in January 2014, and has since given its menu a facelift which keeping customers’ favourite Soups, Salads, Sandwiches and Wraps. A new and colourful variety of tarts is another highlight at Foodology Fresh to giving wholesome meals.

The restaurant is based a self-serve concept which gives customers a hands-on experience of choosing their meals. The revamped menu mains starts from $7 onwards with choices of salads, sandwiches and wraps. You may top up $3 to get either a slice of quiche, one muffin or a bowl of soup.

Be sure to try Smoked Duck Breast Salad ($8.50): Diced smoked duck breast, beetroot, sweet potatoes, feta cheese & caramelised walnuts are tossed with meslcun and red chicory. The tangy orange balsamic dressing packed the flavours together. Overall, it's actually not bad :)

If you're near the area, do try out the revitalised menu at Foodology Fresh featuring ‘3S+1W’ — Soups, Salads, Sandwiches and Wraps. Foodology Fresh at The URA Centre is the place to discover and experience healthy and tasty meals. Some of the highlight of Foodology's fresh new menu:

Roasted Chicken & Avocado Sandwich ($7): Croissant houses avocados, guacamoles, roasted chicken chunks, iceberg lettuce and a potpourri of tomatoes & onions.

Smoked Salmon & Avocado Wrap ($8.80): The saltiness of smoked salmon is complemented with the avocados. Capers, tomatoes, onions, iceberg lettuce, cream cheese and honey dijon dressing also adds flavours to the wrap.

Tandoori Chicken Wrap ($8.80): The chicken tikka comes w a slight punch of spice and balance the taste with slices of cucumber and lettuce. Mayo & onion-chilli raita dressing to round off the wrap. Unique.

For soup selections, there were the Chicken Stew ($4.80), Wild Mushroom ($5.80) as well as Pumpkin Soup ($5). My favourite would definitely be the wild mushroom, something I would travel here for.

Freshly baked savoury/sweet muffins and pastries to go along with your set. Prices ranging from $2.80 to $4.80. My pick would be the banana walnut muffin!

At Foodology fresh, they offers 3 kinds of quiches: Chicken ham, Salmon & asparagus and Spinach & mushroom. All priced at $5.80 for each slice. My pick would be the salmon & asparagus, the hint of saltiness of smoked salmon enhances the overall, making it tasty.

The other two were slightly below average, they were bland and lacking in flavour. Oh, I would suggest you to request your quiche to get heated up at the paying counter. Quiche is meant to eat hot yeaz.

Foodology Fresh has come out with a brand new menu consisting many delicious offerings, but with lower calories and lower GI (glycemic index). Moving on to desserts, what's a meal without desserts right? Here's Apple Crumble Tart, $5.80 for each big slice. It's rather decent with big chunks of apple within.

Mascarpone Creme Brulee Tart ($5.80): It's similar to that of a tiramisu, decent and nothing impressive. And unfortunately this is not going to be my choice of dessert here.

One of the most tempting looking ones, here's Summerberry Yoghurt Tart ($5.80). With layers of berries and yoghurt within, sadly the only thing I like is the freshly baked crust. Some say this is the best dessert among the rest but I have to disagree, in my opinion.

My pick among the desserts offered at Foodology, here's Lemon Curd Tart ($5.80). The lemon curd was smooth and moist, it wasn't too sour or sweet either; simply just nice for my liking. The crust was fresh and crunchy, definitely worth getting among the rest.

Foodology caters to Singapore's burgeoning trend of healthy food and beverage concepts, various items of the menu fulfil five health categories; vegetarian, sugar-free, lactose-free, gluten-free and no trans-fat. These meals are targeted to give customers the energy boost they need for a day's work.

Foodology Fresh is nestled in The URA Centre, where the 800-square-foot space offers a place to chill over coffees and teas. It only opens during office hours from 8am to 6pm, so if you're working nearby, do check them out for some quick lunches. The soups were my favourite things here, especially the wild mushroom.

  1. This looks like the perfect place for a lunch. I will be meeting Oxford Business Mentors and I was really confused about the restaurant. I wanted an elegant restaurant with an diverse and delicious menu so that my guest can have a memorable lunch and this seems like the perfect place. Please tell me how soon I have to make the reservations as I am not sure about the exact date of their arrival?
